Remember, first and foremost, if you can, call. Faxes are not as effective as calling, but they are more effective than email and even postal mail, so they should be a “call plus fax” sort of thing if you can.

How to Send Faxes Right from Your Computer, for Free

You can easily send faxes on the Internet for free, from your computer (the services let you type in the letter right on the website, or upload it).

With faxzero you can send unlimited free faxes. Faxzero is ad-supported. When you go to the site you will see at the top links to fax your senators and representatives. Unfortunately there are several fax numbers which Faxzero does not have (saying that the representative doesn’t accept faxes, when in fact they do).

fax.plus, an offering from Alohi, allows you 10 free faxes per day, but you have to give up your telephone number. On the other hand, their “fax your rep” offering has all of the fax numbers.
